Why You Really Should Switch Automatic Updates On

This security bulletin has been covered extensively around the net, but if you have Automatic Updates switched on on your home server, then the necessary patch should have already been downloaded and installed to your system in the last two weeks.

Automatic Updates is there for your protection – use it.

Update: The WHS Product team confirmed to WHS MVPs this evening that this fix was pushed out to all WHS machines in the January “Patch Tuesday” update. If you don’t have Automatic Updates switched on, do a manual check for updates *now*, then switch AU on.

I have auto updates turned on but I did not receive this patch. If this was to be installed on patch Tuesday I did not get it. I had to download it and install it manually.

I am running the 120-day demo version of WHS at the moment but I would not think that had anything to do with this. .

Same here. I own an EX470 and received no updates from Tuesday the 29th. But there is an update from the previous Tuesday.
