Why Windows Home Server Job Adverts Are Great News For Customers as Well As Developers

So, you may have seen that the Windows Home Server team are recruiting a bunch of new people for the team. If you’re a non-developer like me, you may not have given the post a second thought.

But wait just a minute there. There’s great news in that blog post for WHS users like us. Why? Well, this is not from any kind of insider knowledge, so may be well off the mark, but having a lot of experience working with big, global companies in my day job (I have businesses like Shell, Citigroup, Barclays and SK Telecom as clients) I know for a fact that most of them hate spending money. So they only invest in the people and products that are going places. Future stars, not dying dogs. And it may just be that the powers that be have seen a little potential in Windows Home Server and want to invest in its future.

What does it mean for you? More people = more brains, more work, more bug fixes (!!) and more features – that’s post PP1 features, people. Or, it could just be that a couple of people left and they need to replace them. Either works icon smile Why Windows Home Server Job Adverts Are Great News For Customers as Well As Developers

So, I love checking out adverts for jobs that I’m completely not qualified to do, just to get a little glimpse into that world. Sometimes, there’s a couple of interesting nuggets in there. So let’s take a look at a couple of interesting sentences from the publicly available job ads (If you want to apply, go here, here and here).
