Following hot on the heels of our news about Diskeeper for Windows Home Server, a second disk defragmentation application has today been announced for the platform.

PerfectDisk 8 for Windows Home Server from Raxco helps you optimise your home server’s hard disks through automatic defragmentation when they’re not being accessed.

The software is priced attractively at $39.99 which also includes a copy of PerfectDisk 8 Professional which can be used on one of your home computers. A home site license at $99.99 includes a copy of PerfectDisk 8 for Windows Home Server, plus 5 PerfectDisk 8 Professional licenses for multiple home computers.

I try this second hard disk defragmenter on the 120 day evaluation copy and the program froze entirely itself and some part of the WHS. So I’m going to try the I really know the best, I already have two copy of Diskeeper 2008 on my laptop and home pc. So I will give Diskeeper the place he diserver for my WHS server.
