We’ve featured Tranquil’s Harmony T7-HSA Home Server a couple of times at We Got Served, and it looks like they’ve won the race to get the world’s first Windows Home Server system to market!
The system is now pre-ordering and will be shipped as soon as Tranquil receive the RTM build from Microsoft (which should be any day now, although they’re quoting “mid-September or earlier”) with the following base specification:

- Internal 500GB HDD
- 512MB DDR2 RAM
- Ethernet connectivity
- USB2.0 ports for up to 4x additional external HDDs
- Windows Home Server installed
- Power consumption < 24W
- Integrated power for up to 4x USB2.0 external 12VDC HDDs (single PSU required).
- Windows Home Server Client CD, and recovery CD
The base specification is priced at £338 (ex VAT)/ £397.15 (inc VAT) with the following upgrade options:
Memory – upgrade to 1024Mb: £19
Hard Disk – upgrade to 750Gb: £119 1Tb: £169
Whilst the small footprint of the system mean that there’s only room for one internal hard disk, Harmony are also offering External USB drives at 320Gb (£59 + VAT) and 500Gb (£74 + VAT).
