Windows Home Server Quickstart Guide: German Translation Available

Speaking of supporting non-English languages, Christoph and Lars over at the MS Homeserver Blog have been doing a brilliant job of supporting the German Windows Home Server community over the past few months. I really hope their work gets recognised by the WHS Team at some point in the future.

Today they’ve posted a German translated (and extended) version of the original Beta 2 Windows Home Server Quickstart Guide, with up to date screenshots and links. Whilst I’m not a German speaker (I took French at school – sorry, guys!) you can see this was a big undertaking and is a great piece of work.

    Wow, thanks for the flowers!

So, don´t you want to translate the guide into france? I choose english not france in school;-).

But I also have to take the fame to killi, AliG and Basi who all did their parts of the work too.

As you can see, the team is growing…

    Cheers

    Lars

    Hi Lars,

No flowers, just words – I’m always the first to celebrate when people go the extra mile for their passions. Well done to all of you! No, after a few years, my French is a little rusty – I can just about get by without confusing/offending people with my labguage skills – technical translation is well beyone me!

    Best wishes
    Terry

    Hi Terry,

that is the same how I feel writing such comments in english. Mostly I am not sure if people are going to understand my little jokes. But I am always trying my best . Thanks again.

    Yours,

    Lars

PS: Now I am little bit disappointed because I was sooo excited about the flowers ;-)
