Windows Home Server RC1: Report Your Bugs!

If you’ve been having issues with the RC1 release of Windows Home Server, then you need to get quickly to the MS Forums and post what you have been experiencing. This is vital to ensure as many bugs as possible can be fixed before the next build is released, or RTM happens – whichever is sooner.

There’s two things in particular the team are interested in:

1. Connecting to Your Server Using the Windows Home Server Connector Software

“Our team is trying to create a comprehensive picture of the issues people have when running connector on their client machines and joining server. Because of wide range of configurations of networks we will never be able to create many of these scenarios in the lab.

If you have experienced an issue with joining your clients please:

- send email to home-server@hotmail.com
- we will establish direct contact and try to figure out what your problem is and try to fix it.

Your help is very much appreciated!”

2. Burning the Windows Home Server build to DVD

If you are having or have had issues with installation can you please answer the following questions.

1. What type of connection did you download the ISO with?

2. What speed did you burn the DVD at?

3. If the burn failed or install failed, did a reburn fix the issue, and
what speed did you complete the reburn at?”

If you’ve had either of these issues, the WHS team want to hear from you. Head over to the forums and report your findings!
